Preheat oven to 350F
Combine cubed butter and flour. Incorporate butter into flour by pinching with your thumb and index finger. Do not make dough uniform. Some chunks of butter will remain.
Work in remaining dry ingredients.
Add the water a little at a time until a firm, non-sticky dough forms.
Roll out dough to about 1/8 inch or thinner if you like. Cut into strips.
Place strips on to a parchment lined baking sheet. Pierce strips periodically with a fork.
Baste with melted butter. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Bake until brown and crisp, about 15 minutes.
