Remember that quality olive oil is very light and heat sensitive. Never buy an oil stored on the top shelf of a grocery store. That's always a sign of a vendor that doesn't understand the delicate quality of the products he sells. Also look for dark bottles that will filter bright light. |

Our favorite is a Greek oil, Minerva Horio, which we get at parthenonfoods.com, https://www.parthenonfoods.com/products/extra-virgin-olive-oil-horio-3l?variant=1205879505 where a 3 liter can is currently $30.99.

Gaea Fresrh was found to be a "crowd pleaser" by Cooks Illustrated, (March - April 2017 edition) as a medium flavored olive oil. Moulin Castelas Castelines was the top rated mild oil, Gianfranco Becchina best medium-robust and Frescobaldi Laudemio the best robust.
